This contest was about photographing day to day ordinary magic... shopping, washing dishes, getting up in the morning, discovering the world in a gentle fashion, appreciating everyday things, people around you, seeing it, connecting with it. Beautiful and small things that usually get passed by unobserved.

Most of us can relate to this image. The dried moments of time.
Well captured in the flower to the peeling chipped paint to the alleyway that blocks more beautiful views. The soft focus is brilliant and makes this image an instant fave.

By this picture comes feelings under my fingers, the beauty is not just in the eyes, but also under the fingers... in our senses. Here comes to my mind memories of my childhood, autumnal sundays in the village of my mother, of the things around, when life was looking just so simple and true.

How often do we stop to think about the implication of our senses.
I find this image focuses in on all of them.
Too often we go about eating ---living ---on auto pilot.
Perhaps we need to remind ourselves to be participants in the experience of living.
The ability to touch...to see...to taste...i hear silence ---and the scent of sweet butter cookies...this image entices all this.
